Poems: Broken

Broken

She smiles,

A crown upon her head,

Porcelain face,

Flawless makeup,

Oh so delicate,

Rosy cheeks,

Heart-shaped lips, her soul so kind but desperate,

*

He smiles,

Ugly as he passed by,

His grip on her is like a knife,

She deserves better,

But no she never listens,

His face,

His love,

His fakeness,

 Draws her in,

I see past the alluring face,

Dashing dimples,

To see death and heartbreak in his eyes.

*

Her tear-stained cheek,

Masskara running past her eyes,

Her broken crown,

Blood crusted fingers,

And a broken smile,

I feel her pain,

From a mile away,

She doesn't listen,

Still, she holds onto him,

Never letting go,

I warned her,

So many dang times.

*

Blood crusted arm,

A scar stained limbs,

She says it rid the thought of him.

*

I say to stop,

But days past by,

The tears still flowing,

A year went by.

*

I say that I love her,

And that he was a fool,

But she keeps on crying,

She breaks me,

Breaks me down to the core,

It's too much,

Too much for me to endure,

She's broken,

And she broke me.

End
