Poems: Honey
HONEY
Warmth around my waist
Pulls me into his undying love
A heart so pure,
It’s sweet,
He so scared,
He holds me tighter
The darkness surrounds me
*
The floor disappears,
We fall in despair,
We fall, yet
I’m all alone
Crying myself a blood-red river
*
Crossing the driest deserts,
Hungry and thirsty
*
Illusions fill my mind
Dreams of what was once mine,
Love and sacrifice,
*
The curve of his jaw,
The swoop of his lips,
I pull away,
The taste still lingers,
*
He’s mine,
My love,
My hope,
My fear,
My ghost,
My food…
MINE
